Suluklu Lake Campground

A few months ago (July 2019), Suluklu Lake Campground, a place where camping can be done free of charge, was transferred to a private enterprise.

  • Camp fee is 25 TL per tent (July 2019)
  • If you are going to visit for a day, they charge 15 TL for vehicle entry.
  • WC is very hygienic
  • If you arrive late at night, honk your car or the owner’s name is Huseyin. Call his name out loud, they come and open the barrier.

Eating and drinking

Biscuits, soda and water are not sold at the entrance, but the prices of the products sold are reasonable.
It is forbidden to collect wood in the forest, you can bring some with you.
Or if you want to buy wood, it is sold right at the entrance.
They don’t interfere as long as you don’t give a fuck about your alcohol consumption.
They allow you to light a fire as long as you are away from trees.
You can light the barbecue you brought with you.
It is forbidden to swim in the lake, but they do not say anything, you can enter from the shore and get wet.
Angling is allowed, you can fish.

This area is home to wild animals. Be sure to take a look at our camp guide about what precautions can be taken against wild animals in order to be prepared for all conditions and to raise awareness.

During the winter, roads can be closed for a week or two. Winter campers, for your information. Check the weather forecast ahead of time to make sure there is no heavy snowfall.
